What's Next?
A negative test can bring relief… or maybe it doesn’t. If you need additional services, we've got you covered. With a negative test, the most common questions we hear are:
Is there a chance I'm pregnant? How often do false positives occur?
While faulty tests are possible, if the test was negative and you are still experiencing pregnancy symptoms or your period is late, it is possible you need to retake a test. The best time to test is with your first morning urine when HCG levels are at their highest. If you are less than 5 weeks pregnant, you may also want to wait a few more days. Make an appointment for free testing at Reliance Center.
Also, it's rare, but if you have irregular periods, an IUD, or other conditions that make an early pregnancy unnoticeable, it's possible you may be further along than you think. The pregnancy test may no longer be accurate. In this case, an ultrasound or blood test is needed to confirm if there is a pregnancy or not.
When should I get tested for STDs?
If your test is negative and you are not pregnant, you may need to book an STD testing appointment. We provide free, full-panel STD testing and treatment for all individuals. You may need to get tested even if you don't have symptoms.
How can I prevent another pregnancy scare?
We can answer questions you have about pregnancy prevention and talk about healthy choices so you don't experience an unintended pregnancy in the future. Along with free medical services, we also provide consultations, counseling, and relationship coaching.
